Apple Creates Its First Android App – Move To IOS

Apple has always boasted about gaining switchers from Android, thus today the American giant has quietly unveiled a new app which makes it easier for Android users switch to an iOS operating device.

This is the first application Apple issued in the Google Play Store, called Move To iOS. This application allows users to transfer their address book, messaging data, pictures, video, bookmarks, email accounts and contents from calendar. Applications bought from the Google Play Store is not transferable to any iOS device.

Move To iOS app is only enabled for devices that runs Android 4.0 or newer.

Apple:

“Just download the Move to iOS app to wirelessly switch from your Android device to your new iOS device. It securely transfers your contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, calendars, wallpaper, and DRM-free songs and books. And it will help you rebuild your app library, too. Any free apps you used — like Facebook and Twitter — are suggested for download from the App Store. And your paid apps are added to your iTunes Wish List”

Before releasing the iPhone 6, many users had been migrating from iOS to android due to the large display size from Samsung, HTC, Sony and Asus. Apple reported that since the launch of the iPhone 6 more people have been ditching their Galaxy and Xperia devices for the iPhone.
